Nicole + Michael featured in Brides Southern California Magazine!

I was SO excited when I got the email that Nicole and Michael’s Vintage Book wedding at Calamigos Ranch Malibu was being featured in Brides Southern California Magazine Fall/Winter 2010 Issue!  Nicole and Michael worked hard crafting incredible DIY details to make their wedding day beautiful, personal and chock full of special touches… I was honored I was able to help bring all of the details together on their wedding day! It’s the icing on the cake for them to receive recognition beyond their April 10th nuptials! 

Stay tuned for more images from their big day soon…including other fantastical weddings I have in the blog queue, this summer is flying by and I’m loving every wedding planning minute of it! :)

Carmel + Manuel’s Wedding, Mountain Gate Country Club, Bel Air

I’m super excited to finally post this wedding! Carmel and I began with an email relationship since she and Manuel lived in New York.    Not only did we plan their wedding long distance, but all of their family and wedding party was spread over the country as well – from Vancouver, Canada, Italy, Arizona and beyond!

We designed a elegant and chic wedding at the gorgeous Mountain Gate Country Club in Bel Air, CA with beautiful hues of Purples, Fuschia and Silver.  It truly was a magical day!

Carmel and Manuel, thank you two for trusting me with your special day!  It was such an honor to work with you 8 months…Carmel, I so miss all of our hundreds of emails back in fourth at all hours of the night! ;)   When you visit L.A. we so have to have a double date!  Hope your honeymoon in Aruba was fantastic!

Now on to the eye candy.. thanks to the talented Megan Stark of Megan Stark Photography!

We started the day at the chic Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica.

Desirée + Greg:Los Angeles Natural History Museum Wedding

Desirée’s a Stylist and Greg’s an Engineer … final result: an amazing wedding day filled with oodles and oodles of  beautiful and creative diy details!  D+G got married at the incredibly unique and beautiful Natural History Museum in Los Angeles. When we met at Starbucks in Santa Monica and they told me their wedding ceremony was being held surrounding a T. Rex and Triceratops, you can imagine how intrigued and excited I was for them and to be a part of their special day!  D+G picked the perfect color scheme for their nature inspired wedding of Chartreuse, Navy, and “Cardboard”/Tan.

Desirée and Greg thank you SO much for choosing me to be a part of your special day!  I must truly say I enjoyed working with you two so very much.  Desirée all of your hard diy work, creativity and details came together so beautifully, and Greg..what can I say, you’re a wedding planners dream!  I loved that you were just as detailed and meticulous as I am, and to this date you are still the only client that gave me a Head shot/Id Sheet of everyone in the wedding party ;)   Congratulations you two..hope you had an amazing honeymoon in Hawaii!

The flower girls were adorable! Their dresses tied in perfectly! Instead of the traditional flower girls baskets with petals, they had large birds nest filled with paper cut-outs of Dinosaurs in Navy and Charsuese

In lieu of the traditional escort card, we used a library card catalog. Each card had the guests names plus a specific animal to let them know their table.

Each table had a different unique centerpiece consisting of a bell jar place on top of a tree stump and burlap. Each centerpieces had a unique item such as an Antler, Snake, Dinosaur egg etc. AHH I love these unique details!!!
